This page was made using many of the items I detailed on the Bells and Whistles page. In some ways, this page will show you what you can do with your page. In other ways, this page should help show you what not to do when making your page more interesting.
I am using Marker Felt as my font. Some people think it is difficult to read, but I enjoy it. When you are completing a project, you should ALWAYS make sure that your font is legible and that it contrasts with the background. Both of these factors affect how easily others can read you page.
Despite choosing a color that contrasts with my black and white background, the background is too busy to make the font easy to read. There are places where it is difficult to see what I am saying. Make sure that anyone can read everything you are saying...otherwise, why bother making an informational page.
| I decided to put a table square in to show you the contrast between something that is hard to read with something that is easier to read. This square shows you what I mean about high contrast colors, easy to read fonts, and simple backgrounds. |

You can even use tables creatively to add impact to pictures.

I used the same zebra image again to show you how much more effective it is when framed and used as an image rather than a background. I also made the picture of the zebra into a link rather than using text. If this is what you choose to do, you still need to give credit unless you took the picture. This picture was taken by Giedo van der Zwan and is here curtesy of National Geographic.
